NHA community health centers accept most insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare. Health care assistance on a sliding fee scale is available for those who are underinsured or uninsured.

Balancing work and home can be difficult. However, it is important to your health to see your doctor regularly and not delay necessary treatments or ignore existing health concerns. That’s why the Neighborhood Health Association provides exceptional healthcare for women at our Huron and  Nexus Health Care facilities.

NHA provides healthcare for women for pregnancy and women’s health needs. Our services are dedicated to the health and wellness of women throughout Toledo. Your care is overseen by dedicated nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and OB are on hand to provide prenatal care.

Services available are:

  • Wellness examinations
  • Annual pap/cervical examinations
  • OB/Gynecological care
  • Prenatal care
  • Free pregnancy tests
  • Free blood pressure checks
  • Free blood sugar checks
  • Health education
  • Eligibility assistance (for underinsured and uninsured patients)

  • Urinary tract infections
  • Pre-menstrual syndrome
  • Menopause
  • STD management
  • Adolescent gynecology for girls 13 years of age and older
  • Breast examinations
  • Family planning
  • Mental Health

All NHA services are available to all NHA patients, regardless of where they receive their care. No one is turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.
