Not all cancers are treated equal, at least not when it comes to diagnoses among men. The top three cancers affecting men are prostate, lung, and colorectal cancers. Neighborhood Health Association’s Chief Medical Officer, John Uche, MD, helps us break down the statistics, risk factors and important screenings for each type of cancer. First up, prostate cancer.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is typically defined as an unexplained death, usually during sleep, of a seemingly healthy baby under a year old. Each year, about 2,500 children in the United States die from SIDS.

If you’ve ever met a child living with autism spectrum disorder, you’ve probably noticed their difficulty with verbal and nonverbal communication and social interaction. According to Autism Speaks, 1 in 68 children is now diagnosed with the developmental disorder. We know more about autism spectrum disorder and how it’s presented in children today due to increased awareness, education, and early screening. Research points to genetics as the cause, and not environmental factors, such as vaccines.
